Backcountry Pizza and Tap House 2nd Anniversary Party

German Chocolate Fudge and Caramel ice cream topped with chocolate sauce!
They have an ice cream bar with 6 flavors, so good. I topped it with having a 10oz pour of Avery Brewing's Tweak. You might remember that is used to be called the Meph Addict which for associative reasons the name was changed to the Tweak, a Mephistophiles with coffee, this brew is so smooth but very deceiving at 15.5% ABV.

Backcountry Pizza and Tap House 2nd Anniversary

Max stands next to Anthony Liopiccolo, Head Chef at Backcountry Pizza and the buffet table. $15 all you can eat! Just look at this spread, Anthony said he spent 5 days getting prepared for this event. At the end of this table is the meat station that had roasted pork that was brined for 2 days. Fruit, homemade hummus and dip, pizzas, white sausage sandwich, and the meat station added to the outrageous 2nd Anniversary of Backcountry Pizza and Tap House.

Epic and Avery tap takeover at Backcountry Pizza Tap House 2nd Anniversary

The tap handles of Avery Brewing and Epic Brewing stretch across the back that mind boggled the unweary who thought they knew what to order. I had a difficult time figuring out what beer to try. So it was the Epic Brewing 825 Stout on Nitro that I ordered!  It is so smooth and creamy as nitro beers characteristics plus nice balanced flavors for an American stout style plus at 5.6% ABV.

Falling Rock Tap House Cellar cleaning

Chris Black is cleaning out his cellar of aged bottled beer, such as 2003 Avery Czar to 1997 Samichlaus Ale. Only catch to this is you have to drink the bottled beer on premises.

4 yr old Cantillon Kriek at the Falling Rock Tap House

The Kriek has a sour front end but then smooths out in the end. This beer ages wonderfully, the flavor of cherries is still prevalent.
